Life is a crucible of quests

A follow up to the previous post on past lives.

We are constantly receiving some signals from the cosmos. As you are receiving them anyway, you may as well try to decipher the meanings in them, because they may be very useful in your future life.

For me, it is like a mystery novel; I am a detective finding and piecing together events based on evidence from a crime scene and references from the past incidents.

You may have certain obsessions, a tendency to collect something, or have experienced recurring similar incidents. (You may have heard that there are no such things as “coincidences” but that’s true.) I have always loved beads and embroidered things since my childhood, and after I got a job, I have been trying not to look at them because I can’t resist buying them.

One time, my American friend “A” suggested a very interesting experiment. Minneapolis has a large museum where artwork from all over the world is exhibited in various sections. In the museum, I closed my eyes and traced the museum map with my finger. Without telling me what it was, my friend then took me to the section where my finger stopped on the map. As we neared the section, I closed my eyes again, and continued walking, with her guiding me around. (It was kind of scary to walk with my eyes closed but I took the first step anyway.) When I came to an area where I felt something, I stopped, asked my friend if there were any art pieces in front of us, stood there, and chose one particular piece of art by pointing at it. I opened my eyes and was surprised to find out that what I picked was an embroidered bag of made by an Ojibwe Native American. Minnesota has many Ojibwe people. I researched the bag and learned that it is called a “medicine bag” because it was used by medicine men and later had a more decorative function. I strongly believe that I was once a medicine man in my past life and I was very surprised that it appeared in an experiment like this. Afterwards, I wanted to learn more about the Native Americans, and if I didn’t run into this clue, I felt as if something would need to tell me “Junko, wake up!” Even before this, I had some connection with the Native American people and I was receiving the signals in many ways; I had a chance (= necessity) to experience a sweat lodge, which is their ceremonial sauna. If I am asked whether I was sensitive to such signs, I can’t clearly say, as I often realize the meaning of it much afterwards. I am always trying to catch the signs though.

The work that I pointed at with eyes closed.

Unconscious self knows far better about one’s self, and is constantly repeating to itself what needs to be noticed; the messages from the universe bring you together with someone or cause something. Sometimes the signs are sent through close friends, or could be through just about anything. (Thankfully, the God won’t give up sending you the message until you notice. Thank you, God). Only if you try to listen to it or feel it, the riddle starts to solve and you will gain awareness. When that happens, the game is all yours; issues in a limbo start to solve, and you become aware of what you need to do. Going back to knowing the past lives, it will be easier to guess them if you catch these messages. Catching the signs is like the process of solving mysteries; you will have to gather the evidence, do some research, and connect all the information to the incident. The first step is to analyze why so many similar people, events and things gather around you. Isn’t life so thrilling?
